center at the Saline County Senior Center. Those chairs
provide convenience and comfort for volunteers sitting at

Salina Surgical Hospital recently completed an addition of 8
patient rooms to our Inpatient Unit. Design Central helped us
coordinate our addition to fit with our current decor. They
helped us with patient room furniture, wall covering, window
treatments, floor covering, and art work. They provided us with
expert advice, but also listened to our requests. Their customer
service is the BEST! It was so beneficial to have one company
coordinate all of our decorating needs. They truly provide an

We're getting along great with our new addition. The staff is
happy. They have good, usable space. And the reaction from
customers has been very positive. The reception center alone
makes the place look so much more professional. People really
like that. And the staff has complained that customer traffic has
been so great that they can't get their work done. That's a good
thing, I think, for it illustrates how poorly we were doing with
customer service; customers really had nowhere to go to find
answers or other help. Customer service is our No. 1 goal, and
we're dishing more of it out. Good, good.
Our new table pattern is another plus. Instead of fighting the
room geometry we're working with it. We've created, for the first
time, wide aisles down the center of the room going in each
direction. The tables are in the four quadrants. It's sort of like we
have four separate seating areas, which means that down the
road we can offer a program in one area and people can sit and
visit in another area. The reception center serves to help divide
the space. The reaction has been super. People really like it.
