The facade of our building was designed in 1972 when Design Central originally opened. After 35 years the wood siding was no longer in good condition
due to the weather and termites. After searching through our files we found several pictures of the building prior to 1972 that showed the building as an
auto supply store with brick exteriors. Many of the buildings on our block have been returned to the brick warehouse look that dominated the area when
it was originally built. After looking at the pictures we were hopeful to find the brick in good condition but we would have to tear the current siding off to
determine if it could be reused.

After examining the brick and seeing that the entire building was not the same we decided that it would be best to plan a new facade.

April 10, 2009: The building has been under construction for about two weeks now. The windows
have all been removed and the front door boarded over as construction progresses. We had a lot
of questions about what we are doing and if we are going out of business.
